In our effort to champion sustainability, we embarked on an exciting project with a residential property owner in Norwich eager to diminish their carbon footprint and rein in energy costs. Through meticulous planning, including thorough site evaluations and in-depth discussions with the homeowner to grasp their aspirations, our Solar PV & Battery Storage installation project took shape.
The project entailed fitting a 2.55 kWp Solar PV system atop the south-facing roof, boasting high-efficiency 425W solar panels paired with a 3.68kW hybrid inverter. To maximize performance and efficiency, we integrated a 5.32 kWh battery for energy storage, coupled with bi-directional metering and optimisers. As soon as the installation concluded, clean, renewable electricity began flowing into the household.
Projections indicate an annual electricity generation of 2097 kWh, with 63% directly consumed onsite and 37% exported to the grid. This translates to a substantial reduction of 0.9 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually, alongside savings of 772 kWh from the grid.
Delighted with the results, our client is now taking pride in leading the charge toward greener practices and contributing to the global battle against climate change. This project stands as a testament to our shared commitment to sustainability and the tangible impact achievable through collaborative efforts.
